i’m still here~!  i’m still alive~!  here are a few of the things i was up to this summer…

i learned how to make sugar roses with a friend.

bid a friend farewell.  i had to remake these black sesame cupcakes with matcha cream cheese frosting because she loved them so much.

made my own birthday cake (only ice cream cake for me~!) and celebrated with friends

was gifted a cookie press for my birthday~!  it was a lot harder than i thought, but i eventually got the hang of it.  i made peanut butter and nutella cookie sandwiches.  i unfortunately forgot to take a final picture..but they were yum 🙂


and more…but i was pretty bad about taking pictures and documenting my kitchen going-ons.  hopefully some new posts to share soon 🙂



The NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookies and Momofuku Milk Bar’s Fruity Pebbles Cookies

Only notable thing is that there is a substantial drop in yumminess the next day.  Must be eaten on the day of~!

#1 fan was supposed to be eating healthy and was caught bringing a bag of cookies home…oops.. 🙂

…or so the recipe I followed called this.  It was definitely a very cake-y cookie.  It easily had a cup more flour than my regular chocolate cookie recipe~!  In the end, I think I prefer my usual chocolate chip cookie recipe 🙂  But these were still gobbled up by everyone (and myself~!).

As you see, I was using up leftover christmas m&ms 🙂

Every year I wonder if I should make cookie boxes for friends/family/coworkers/whomever…I didn’t do it last year because I didn’t have a functioning kitchen so I decided to do it this year~!

After making so many dozens of cookies, I remember why I don’t do this every year~!  It is so much work~!  I probably won’t do this next Christmas, but will miraculously forget the pain the following Christmas..we’ll see…
